Another Wednesday and this time I have an almost empty desk!
On it are some of my paper die cuts from the WOYWW crop that I used the lovely Shaz Happy Birthday die. Sadly my die cutting is not great and I have quite a lot of 'bits' I need to pop out or nick with a blade. It is taking a while but is the perfect job for those moments when your mojo has decided to wander off and you are paying more attention to the radio than what you are doing!
My "Man Bites Dog" cards this week are 'Devoted Dog Snubs Cruel Czar'.....well I dread to think what that could mean!
Happy WOYWW
Kyla
Hi Kyla, I often end up doing that too! I think I maybe need to add some paper as a shim in future. Just let me know if you'd like any more, and what sort of colours you'd like, and I'll be happy to cut you some! Have a lovely week, Hugs, Shaz #7 xxx
ReplyDeleteHi Kyla. Sometimes I need to pass things lots of times through my die cutting machine, and still there are areas that haven't cut properly. I think I should probably use an extra sheet of paper in it to see if that helps...
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.

Happy WOYWW. I do not do much diecutting now - only got one of those tiny machines and a few dies. It seems that every time I turn on the crafting shopping channel they are selling yet more expensive dies - do wonder how people keep buying them. Ali x #29
ReplyDeleteGreat WOYWW TFS. Happy New Year xx Jan
ReplyDeleteHmmm. . .cruel czar could mean a few things! I'm not great at die cuts either. . .Thanks for sharing, Lindart #39
ReplyDeletesome of my dies, I have to pass it back and forwards a couple of times to cut properly... pokey tools are great for encouraging them to come out fully! Helen #2
ReplyDeleteLol your die cutting sounds a lot like mine! I get a little frustrated on some of those intricate dies. Your cards look...interesting.
ReplyDeleteHappy WOYWW

Hi there and thanks for popping by my blog and for your kind comments. Not sure this will help but I use a Big Shot and for intricate dies the Precision Base Plate. (They also now have another base plate with an adaptor for thin dies) Anyway the precision plate works well. After cutting I put cut out- still with die in place onto a foam mat and brush over with die brush. This gets all or most of bits out. Anne x #18
ReplyDeletehahahaha.. your cards made me giggle.. glad the dog is snubbing cruelty even if he was devoted :)
ReplyDeleteI am not always the best at die cutting either but have a box of 'scraps' which I use to shim my dies when I need to, so they cut a bit better.
Have a great week,
Erika (#33 not9 lol)
watch your fingers... I often find I take off more skin that fiddly bits if the radio is more interesting than the task in hand.. Dxxx #45
ReplyDeleteMan Bites Dog?? LOL Hilarious! Thanks for your post and good luck on your future die cutting experiences. Dorlene #44
ReplyDeleteHi Kyla! I tend to go forwards and then back when die cutting. It
