Happy What's on your workdesk Wednesday and hope everyone is ok with the extreme weather, the heat, storms, fires and earthquakes all in the news this week. on my desk this week, was going to be some journalling but at work i noticed a hole in my very thin and cool, floaty top i wear a lot to work in hot weather!! so, got home from work and decided to mend it otherwise i would forget!! I couldn't remember where the brown threads were.....of course they were in the wooden box I made marked threads!!

not a big hole but it's an old top so the material is very thin and fragile

but, I think the mending was ok and to be honest I doubt anyone will notice and hopefully it will now see me through the summer.

another item fixed, so I am totally adding that to my to do list and crossing it straight off (surely I am not the only one who does that??!). Am classing that as a win for the week!! happy crafting kyla

Happy What's on your workdesk Wednesday. Didnt make all the returns last week as time got away from me, but, i have actually done some crafting! not a lot, but remembered i needed to make a card for a family member so took some time out and made one, and felt much more grounded after-i forget it can help you at busy times.

forgot my Man Bites Dog cards this week but think there are enough headlines and news stories in life at the moment!! hope you are all OK in this heatwave and happy crafting kyla

A very hot woyww

Hope everyone is coping OK with this next heatwave? I am not going to lie, it's not easy, the humidity and my immune conditions means its hard but hey, it could be a lot worse. missed last week as pay the bills job is long hours and very busy at the moment....but, thought i would sort my urban sketching kit out and take advantage of the weather and wash my white towelling wrist band (a freebie from the council for advertising their gym years ago). never user their gym but it was free and perfect to wear on my wrist as a watercolour brush cleaner when sketching in town!! Not been washed for ages so well overdue!

Happy What's on your workdesk Wednesday. Not had any time for crafting or making this week as its allotment busy time getting more stuff planted and picking and preserving a lot of very early fruit. So, last night my 'desk' was the plot. Mid evening it chucked it down so off I stomped on slug watch (whilst taking the food waste over to the compost bin.

I went around with my gloves on and chucking them all in a pot. Now, I can remember some research a few years ago where they painted the snail shells to help track them and some travel well over a mile back from where they had been moved to, but, I wasn't going that far so I wandered up to the park and deposited them next to the bin! yes they may come back, but I tried!

the plot isn't too tidy (never is to be honest), but it's productive and I enjoy spending time there so that's good enough for me. Dehydrated strawberries, strawberry vinegar made, some rhubarb jam made and strawberries, black currants and raspberries all frozen so far this season, so happy with that. kyla
