WOYWW

It's Wednesday again!  I swear the weeks go by quicker as I get older!  Anyhoo, on my workdesk this week is my journal page for January and at the back of my desk are a couple of tags that I made at Coven on Monday evening (a weekly get together with friends for crafting)

I have been playing with my resin again, this time I used a chocolate mould from poundland to create a domed circle pendant which I embedded a New Zealand coin and attached a metal bail on the back to hang it from.
I was pleased with the result, the only issue I have is that I tend to be an impatient crafter so having to do one layer of resin, let it dry for 24 hrs, add the coin and another layer of resin before leaving for another 24 hrs is not something that comes naturally, but I am pleased with the results.

I would also like to say a big Hello to my new follower Sandra.

  11. I love your Jan journal page! But, I love how you came up with the resin pendant. I love how simple it is but I can imagine the awful wait time for each layer, but, I'm sure you are creating during those long 24 hours..to see your final outcome of using resin and the accomplishment of getting something crafty done during the wait time. TFS!

  14. I am so with you on the impatience side... I don't think I have anything with liquid embossing on it that doesn't have my fingerprint plonked in the middle of it... just testing!! ;) Love what you done with the resin, I must have a look into buying some as it looks so cool... just have to resist the urge to test...

  17. Your journal page is fab - love the colours you used. Your pendant looks brill and all the more so as you used a Poundland mould! It's surprising what you can find in there that can be put to good crafy use! I agree it is so tiresome waiting for stuff to dry - I try to keep a couple of things on the go so while waiting I can get on with something else - like the ironing - lol, I've just read and laughed at one of your previous posts about going upstairs to do the ironing and being sidetracked by your craft room - that happens to me all the time - you should see the size of my pile of ironing - LOL !!

  20. Your pendant is awesome! The waiting is hard enough when it is an hour or two but 24 hours would drive me bonkers, lol! But when you get results like yours it is worth it!
Love the calendar page too! Would love to see a close up when it is all finished?!
