WOYWW

Hello, it is Wednesday again so that can only mean it is time to bare all and show our Workdesks.

On my desk is the next tunnel book swap that I am working one.  This one is a Discworld one and belongs to Jas.  My own books doing the rounds is also a Discworld but different to this one-I was blown away when I saw it!  No detailed photos as I it will wait for the owner to do the big reveal-but my oh my is all I can say.
I have sort of decided on the subject of my double page spread-I just need to execute it!

On the right hand side of my desk are a couple of sheets of alcohol ink dyed A4 sheets. I find the 'proper' glossy cardstock is expensive so rarely use my alcohol inks, but at the scrapstore they had some A4 sheets of glossy card so I bought about 30 sheets, a large blue industrial roll of kitchen paper (perfect for clean up) and a handful of nice smooth thin card for stamping-£1 for all of it!  I know, ridiculously good value and its helping a charity and stopping waste going to landfill so it would be rude not to support them!

I thought I would also share with you my latest purchase.  I love inktense pencils and have about 10 different colours.  But when Cass Art emailed their latest newsletter and I saw that they had a set of 36 for £19.99 I could not resist!  Brilliant value (in fact, I bought 2-one for my mum!).

We are lucky that last year Cass Art opened a branch in Bristol.  I love visiting that there London and going to their flagship store in Islington (near the Screen on the Green) so was pleased to find a store in the West open. The pencils have been decanted and are in my pencil case-but the tin is too nice to put in recycling, so for the time being until I can think of another use for it it is sitting next to my desk.  If anyone has any ideas, please let me know!

My "Man Bites Dog" cards this week...'Lady Dumps Crooked Psychic'!  I could go on about them all being crooks...but that is not for here :-)

Happy crafting

Kyla

  1. What a bargain those pencils are! I nearly bought some but have a tin of 24 so the colours would be duplicated... Have fun with the tunnel book - look forward to seeing the end results! Helen, waiting for the link!

  9. Lovely pencils! My husband bought me the (wooden) box of 72 Inktense for my birthday recently :) I will have to make good use of them. They cost a fortune here, on the "other side of the world"!

  13. Ooo! Can't wait to see your tunnel book when you are allowed to reveal it!
What a great bargain you had there! Charity shop? When we used to live in the UK there were about 5 charity shops in the High Street. I would always pop in and quite often found something really good!
I smiled at your Man Bites Dog quote. I look forward to that every week.
    Have a great week,
