WOYWW

Hello peeps.  Welcome to What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday and the legal snoop at desks across the globe!  If you want to know what I am blathering on about (that is of course the technical term) then why not pop over to the lovely Julia's blog here for all the deets.

After a couple of weeks not actually at my desk this week I am back (Hurrah!! There are only so many meetings I can go to at work and NOT have ink stained fingers!).

On my desk this week are a couple of things.  First is my 365 Journal and the pages I am prepping for April.  I decided to go bright and sunny as the days are now getting longer, there is a lot of ink, gesso, sprays and smudging with fingers going on this page-it will take a while to dry, something I didn't think through!!!

The kids book popped up at the back is for my first ever tunnel book I am going to have  ago at.  Its for a challenge where 4 of us are going to do a page and post it on to the next person to do a page etc etc etc.  It is sat there for inspiration.  I have a "theme" idea but I concerned it may be too complicated so am thinking it through a bit before I make my first cut and am committed to the "theme"!!

My "Man Bites Dog" cards are back....'Rehab Nurse Ready to Scam Model'.........really, they do come out with the oddest of headlines some times!

Happy crafting

Hand carved Stamp and useups

Hi folks, I hope you are all well and are up to date with all your Christmas stuff....there is so much to do isn't there...pressies to wrap, food to buy, decorations to put etc, ironing, dusting etc etc etc...SO much that its hard to find any crafting time, let alone blogging time!

This weekend was extra special as my brother and his new wife came to stay.  They no longer live in Ecuador but (for the time being) have moved back to London.  So, Saturday lunch time we went to a local pub (owned by the local Bath Ales whose brewery is 10 mins walk from the house-sadly the pub is 10 mins DRIVE away!!) with hubby and my mum for an early Christmas celebration lunch.  During the evening the four of us went to watch a friends northern soul band play.  Lots of dancing, laughing and maybe a cider or two!  What's not to like!

Before they arrived I managed to grab some time in the craft room and I did managed to make a card from some papers from my scrap box.

This is a stamp I carved from drawing I did of a seed head (inspired by the wonderful Angie Lewin at St. Judes).
I stamped it onto some leftover lilac paper and matted and layered it on some silver card (I have lots of silver off cuts after my Christmas card making session the other night).

I am entering it into the snippets challenge over at http://pixiescraftyworkshop.blogspot.co.uk/ where they have some lovely entries each week.

Happy crafting

A devil of a card

Hello peeps I hope you are well.  I have decided to make a few 'spookyish' cards and this is the first with the bombshell stamps.  I made a mask for the eyeball and stamped the flame over it and coloured it with promarkers.

I coloured some of TH tiny attachers with ink and used them to attach the layers.
My free photo editing software (Picasa) seems to be playing up and wont allow me to rotate pictures so I can only apologise if you are reading this in public and are now getting strange looks as you cock your head to the side to see the picture!!

I thought I would enter this into the Simon Says Challenge which can be found here

If you are in the UK I hope the weather over the next 48 hrs treats you well....the storm has already hit here in the South West...wet and wild!
Happy crafting
