WOYWW

Happy WOYWW on my desk today (well, last night) is a  card I am making!  I know, not had a chance to make cards recently, happens the same every year as the allotments tend to take a lot of my time but with the rain we have had I have pushed myself to get back into crafting.  I enjoy it so I should do it more!

I am using old music score as backgrounds at the moment, I have quite a lot of them so thought I would start using them.  I love the feel of the older, thinner paper in my hands and some of them do bring back memories, especially if they are pieces I remember playing when I used to play the tenor horn as a teenager.

My "Man Bites Dog" cards this week are " Tough Strikes Saves Heiress" :-)

So, what's on your workdesk this wednesday?

  1. I never knew you were a former musician!! Glad you are using time not on the allotment for crafting - I should do more in the evenings too instead of just sit and watch tv! Happy WOYWW Helen #2

  2. Sketch artist, musician, allotment magician...your talents know no bounds! Like you, I sometimes have to push myself towards crafting and this year the ICADs really did that for me. Feeling inspired and invigorated!
    Happy WOYWW!

  4. Well the strikes are tough, for sure.....not able to convince myself about the heiress yet! Good to see your desk in action, but let's fave it, if it wasn't so rainy, my desk wouldn't be active either. I don't like it much but am actively starting to miss gardening! Lovely old music pages, that's a lotta backgrounds!

  6. Old paper and thin paper are two favourites of mine. Great for collaging.
My, you seem awfully busy at the moment and I am impressed you played the tenor horn.

  7. I didn’t know you’d played the tenor horn (if you had told me, I’d forgotten, sorry) lovely instrument with a beautiful sound! I remember when I volunteered at the Oxfam bookshop in Marlborough that crafters would come in to specifically buy the old sheet music books - it does make for great collages and backgrounds, wrapping paper too!

  8. Your post makes me wonder why you stopped playing and will you take it up again!
I love old book pages, I have a really thick old French dictionary and PJ just did not understand why I wanted to lug it home from Paris!!! One of my treasures.
    Have a creative week
