Happy hump day so that means sharing our desks with the lovely Julia queen of desks for What's on your workdesk Wednesday.
To be honest this was taken last night as i had a day off work so could spend some decent time in the room actually crafting and making some cards
My 'man bites dog' cards makes you wonder what else the 'orange one' has been up to?!
I thought I would post a photo from the weekend too. For the past year the Bristol Urban sketchers group that i have been a member of for a few years have been doing virtual zoom meetups where we have a pre arranged location and you can sketch and chat on video for a couple of hours. It's lovely seeing places from all over the world (this one was Norwich but the next is Singapore), sketching and just the general 'chat', boy i have missed general chatting!
So, what's on your workdesk this Wednesday?
Happy crafting

Super Norwich sketch! I love zooming with my old UK crafty friends every fortnight. It is the chat that I miss!
ReplyDeleteStay safe and keep well.
Happy WOYWW!

Wow. Great sketch - it should be a postcard at the Tourism Office. And really, let's all just try to put the Orange One out of our minds, can't we? It has been a dark 4 years and I am just looking forward towards the light. You will laugh at the stamp I unearthed...I read it and offer a silent prayer that it never happens LOL!
ReplyDeleteI’m the opposite opinion, worry that the Orange one is being quiet and planning...much prefer to hear from him now and then!! Super sketching missus, and I love that the zoom meet takes you around the world. In that respect, lockdown has really opened our horizons!
ReplyDeleteI just want to go out and meet people too, I miss chatting as well. The building sketch is brilliant, I admire the looseness of your drawing, hard to achieve but you cracked it!

Fab sketch Kyla! I've not been to Norwich but I have been to Singapore so I will look forward to seeing that one. I fear that I have too many words inside me since not having many people to chat to so once we are out and about again someone is going to get ALL OF MY WORDS in one go! Hope the allotment is coming along too x As always, stay safe and keep smiling, Lisa-Jane #8
ReplyDeleteThat's a great sketch makes me want to walk right into it, nice to read you are still in touch with your group a fab way of keeping connected. Stay safe & Happy WoywW Tracey #15 x

ReplyDeleteGreat sketch. I don't do too many Zoom meetings with the exception of my monthly book club meetings. I sure do miss meeting up with people. Have a great week. Dorlene #34
ReplyDeleteKyla, I love your sketch! I soooo need to get my sketchbook journals back out and work on the. BUT life! LOLOL I want to play that game so bad and I think I am going to have to get it!! My family members are game geek/freaks and would LOVE it!! I just laugh at your cards every time I see them! Stay safe and healthy! Felicia #31
ReplyDeleteI love your sketch book - so beautiful! Happy WOYWW. Take care and stay safe. With love & God Bless, Caro xxx (#18)
ReplyDeleteWhat an ace sketch, I sound like Shaz when I say I cant do something, but I remember her saying the same thing until she put the effort into it.
ReplyDeleteSo that's what I need to do too, Zoom and Teams etc has been a blessing during this pandemic, i think we would all have gone quite mad by now if we hadn't had them.

ReplyDeleteHi Kyla, I'm late this week as I had to sort some stuff out yesterday ready for my mum coming home. The sketch is lovely and I can understand why you enjoy the Zoom meeting so much they are a god send. Happy creative, belated WOYWW, Angela x19x
