Hello peeps, I hope you are doing as well as can be expected in these very unusual times?
I need to start by apologising as I was not able to do any return visits last week as it has been hectic. After spending far too many hours each day at the pay the bills job which means staring at a small computer screen by the time I have any time to myself the last thing I want to do is look at another computer screen! Its a poor excuse but I i will try better!
So I have taken today off! Remembered it was Wednesday and thought....ooh crafting, then looked at the room and thought, oh its my day off-let's sort out a bit!! Now, I do NOT intend clearing it all out, life is too short for that and I did that a couple years back BUT I do need to look at items that I dont need/can easily use up so I am thinking of creating a small box I can dip into and use up and another for the charity shop (when they eventually re-open).
Then I remembered it is What's on Your Workdesk Wednesday so thought a quick photo and a blog update!
So there you go-goodness knows how the day will go I may run out of steam quickly and crave to be outside and do some gardening, but let's see!
Happy crafting
Kyla
Hope you finish the tidying and get onto the crafting son Kyla. You have a lovely cosy craft space. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #4
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy the sorting/crafting/gardening - delete as applicable! I hope that you're keeping ok and working from home isn't driving you nuts.

Lots of sorting to do there, but maybe just do a little, and then craft with the bits you haven't put away. Have fun

Hi Kyla. I'm loving your thought processes there today. Cleaning - no way - far too over-rated; tidying - only when I can't find what I need; paying bills - hmm, difficult one this... important and necessary, but oh so boringly time consuming; crafting - now, there's a thought - a good thought - an important thought. Go for it!!
ReplyDeleteTake care. Stay safe. God bless.

Hope you manage some down time and crafting - It s SO cold here - I am waiting until the weekend when it is supposed to warm up before I spend any length of time in the garden. Take care and Keep safe . soojay#21
ReplyDeleteHi Kyla, sometimes the sorting needs to get done, lol. I always manage to find stuff I've forgotten about, lol. Stay safe and have a good week,Hugs, Shaz #7 X
ReplyDeleteOh there’s not much to do there -its my experience that your most used stuff is already within reach of the desk, so you shroud start as far from that as possible! Or just free up the chair so that you can do something whilst seated. Then you can do some garden stuff as well, because ther will be time! Hurrah! Don’t overdo it though gal, one day off doesnt match what the rest of us are experiencing.
ReplyDeletefrom what I've seen you've been keeping pretty busy with your allotment as wel as the pay the bills job! it's too easy to start on work emails early (or is that just me) Have a good week, take care. Helen #3
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the tidying and look forward to seeing some crafting soon. Happy WOYWW. Take care and stay well, With love & God Bless, Caro x (#17)
ReplyDeleteHi Kyla never worry about missing visiting me as I always say it's more about the sharing.. Hope you managed to tackle some of your sorting, if it was me i'd have found something to distract me 20 minutes in hee hee.. Take care & happy woyww Tracey #25 x
ReplyDeleteHi Kyla, ditto about the computer screens - and my temp home office is also my craft room, so after being in there all day, I'm not going back in there in the evening. I spy a pink tape gun ... I almost got one for Mother's day, but lockdown and financial impact meant I told my daughters to save their money! Next year maybe! Have a lovely week and stay safe, Heather xx #33
ReplyDeleteHi Kyla, I think now is a good time to sort the craft space it's just so hard to let things go but sometimes it just has to be done. I think Julia is probably right if it;s near the desk you need it and if you can't even find it then you probably have grown out of it and it can probably go to a new home. Take care and have a lovely woyww and a happy creative week, Angela x18x
ReplyDeleteLooks like you have a nice range of possible activities. Have fun and stay safe.

The one drawback of working from home is being disciplined enough to put it away on time isn't it. I can understand why you don't want to spend your free time back on the computer. I think everyone understands. It's hard to stop flitting from one thing to another at the moment isn't it. I'm sure we'll settle the longer this thing goes on for.
ReplyDeleteTake care and enjoy your week

I have soooo much sorting to do, Kyla, and somehow I can't summon the energy to do it! Perhaps in your case, a little bit of tidying, a little bit of crafting, a little bit of gardening, and suddenly you will realise just how much you've managed to achieve!
ReplyDeleteKeep well and safe, and keep smiling, and happy belated WOYWW,

Tidy up and you won't be able to find things. Think charity shops are going to be inundate with items when lockdown finishes. Have a good week Ani #1
ReplyDeleteAs was said on face book once "I go into the craft room to tidy up but get distracted and that's the end of tidying "
ReplyDeleteStay well and healthy,
