WOYWW

Wednesday again-seems like ages ago as I have been lucky enough to go on holiday to Malta since then. Now it is Autumn this means leaving for work in the dark and returning in the dark-and of course crafting in the dark.  Never great when it comes to looking at colours etc but I do like the cosiness of it.

On my workdesk this week is my 365 Journal that I am trying to get ahead in.  I tend to gesso a couple of pages at a time as I find that it helps take the inks and also give a bit more structure and robustness to the pages to limit any ink sinking through to the other side.

My "Man Bites Dog" cards this week are 'Fans Snubs Movie Model'-ooh!!

Happy crafting

  4. A good coat of gesso is definitely a must Kyla. I find that it prevents most inks from seeping through even on handmade paper. Glad you had such a great time in Malta. Happy WOYWW. Sarah #3

  5. I often gesso a few pages at a time too, then if you get on a roll, there is less time "wasted"! being on a roll, that would be good right now! Have enjoyed your photos that I have seen. Helen #4

  6. Holidays are lovely but go too quickly. I usually Gesso pages too, preparing several at a time is a good idea. Have a great woyww and a happy crafty week, Angela x16x

  7. Hi ya Kyla, hope you can take memories of your hols with you to brighten up those dark mornings and evenings. The biggest downside to this time of year for me. Gesso is a real workhorse in the life of a crafter, makes working on some surfaces so much easier and saves time if we can remember to pre prep.
Happy WOYWW & have fun with your 365 journal Tracey #5

  8. Glad you had such a lovely holiday, Malta sounds wonderful! Good idea to gesso your pages, I often do that in my junk journal as well, and sometimes do it with black gesso for a change! Have a great week, Lindart #29
