WOYWW

Hi peeps, sorry not taken part for a couple of weeks, you know how it is.

First I would like to pass my condolences onto the friends and family of fellow WOYWWer Eliza Harms. Many of you will know Eliza and her cat Yoda and her sudden death comes as very sad news to us all.

On my desk this week are some of my new purchases from Blade Rubber following a recent trip to London.  I have been looking for a decent fish stamp for ages (I have also been looking for a decent wine bottle stamp for many years, if anyone knows who makes one please let me know!).  The Watering Can Archival ink (for those time when black is too harsh) and I couldn't resist the boots and converse daps (or trainers to those of you not from the south west of the UK!) stamps.  They are so detailed, I am looking forward to seeing how they stamp.

I also bought 3 paperartsy chalk paints after seeing Helen's (stampingbyH) beautiful journal pages I knew I had to have a few of these!

My "Man Bites Dog" cards this week are 'Tough Blonde Sues Wall St. Lover'.....ooh!

Happy crafting

Kyla

  1. Sad news indeed about Eliza... it was such a shock. I shall miss her posts (and Yoda) very much.
I've never heard of chalk paints...do they have a different texture?

  2. It is truly sad about Eliza, and yet heartening in an odd way that someone so many of us never met in person, feel her loss.

I bought some deep red stamps (a sheep, rooster, mushrooms and a velociraptor) and I love all of them, but I tore off the cling and replaced it with tacky glue after I trimmed them to their shape. I'm getting rather bold about cutting up stamps lol. Enjoy your goodies! The Archival Watering Can is on my wish list. #6

  4. Hi Kyla, you're getting as bad as Helen for enabling me, lol. There is an American guy who produces stamps, called Fred B Mullett(!) and they are very, very good. Also, Designs by Ryn has some lovely ones, and she's put them onto themed u/m sheets now too. See I can enable too, lol. I have a stamp I'll bring along to the next crop, you can have. I bought it in a grab bag, and it's never yet seen ink. It's a wine bottle and glass, by Stamps Happen. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz #13 xxx

  5. There has been some very sad news this week. I didn't know Eliza as I'm very new here but everyone speaks very fondly of her.

That looks like a lovely fish stamp and I'm sure someone will be able to help with the wine bottle. I love the trainers stamp that's poking out. Enjoy your week. Barb #27

I love that you buy the stamps I really would like but am frightened of...and wonder if I'd actually use. And then you make it all look really easy! carry on then!!
