WOYWW

Hello peeps...a rushed post today (pay the bills job busy, blah, blah, blah).  On my desk this week are some letters I am painting green (they spell holiday) ready to stick on an old whisky tin I am turning into a money box (for guess what....yep, our holiday fund).  The money box is costing nothing (using scraps and papers I don't like, odd gems, tissue papers etc) and I am hoping a pretty money box will incentivise me to use it!!!

Also on my desk are a pack of blank postcards (I bought them from Woolies before they closed down....yep, I know that was a while ago...its amazing what you find when you tidy up!!) I am going to try to paint a postcard to send in the post (I know, WITHOUT an envelope!!!!! Gulp...not sure about this!!).

Finally my "Man Bites Dog" cards this week spell out "Cruel Model Slays Thousands"!!!!! (not sure how I feel about that!)  lol!

So, feel free to pop over here to Julias blog and legally snoop on desks around the globe!!

Happy crafting
Kyla

  7. I wondered why you hung your sponges!!
The MBDog cards are starting to be disturbing! Love the idea of a money box. We have a pink fuzzy pig into which all the change goes that I find dotted about the house while tidying etc. I don't expect it will mount to more than half a hill of beans because to be honest, if there's a pound coin amongst the change..I put that in my purse!!

  9. I love your idea of making a holiday tin I now wish I had made mine instead of buying one. I am saving to go to New Zealand next year to see my dad, auntie and an uncle and auntie from Australia.

  13. Ha ha funny as always are those cards! Money box idea is good, we save all our change, well apart from £1 & 50p they stay in my purse. We have a big count up every few months and usually hit £20 easily! Have a good week. Take care Zo xx 76

  16. Hi, Kyla, just a quick visit to see what you are up to. Unfortunately, the EM is unwell and needs looking after so time for blog-hopping has been limited today. Your MBD phrase could have read Model Slays Cruel Thousands! Good luck with the Holiday Fund :) Hope your WOYWW has been happy. Elizabeth x #55

  17. Good idea re the holiday funds box...great incentive! And you're using all old bits and pieces so the money you've saved by doing that can go in the box first!!
