Wedding card

Just a quick update. I previously had a wedding card being made on my desk but couldn't share it until the happy day!

Well the couple have now received it so I can share it for all.

The wedding party was a lovely event and it was great to see friends so happy.

The card was a nice simple and reasonably plain to allow the beautiful, delicate vellum to be the star of the show.

Vellum tag

Now, this isn't my usual style, but in an effort to continue using up (UIU) products I have and reduce those that I buy (and boy do I have a LOT of stash!!) I have decided to use my vellum and angelina fibres.

This tag is made by colouring with distress inks, adding a paperartsy stamp and some vellum punched foliage behind the flower.  The bee is die cut from vellum also and coloured using markers.  The wings are made from ironing some fibres to make a sheet then die cutting these also.

To finish I splatted some butterscotch dye across the tag and distressed the edges to add depth.

I would like to enter this into the Stamp Man Vellum challenge which can be found  here

Welcome to my Blog

Hello, after some time reading all the fantastic blogs on this site I have finally decided to take the plunge and start a blog.

I hope this will be a way to share with you designs, inspirations and of course the end product!

To start this off, this is an acceptance card I recently made for my bother-in-law Scott and his lovely fiance Lucy. It was a bit time consuming as I had to stamp and emboss the velum, carefully tear the cardstock adding glitter etc. but worth it for the happy couple.

Hopefully I will have more to post soon.
