WOYWW

Happy hump day where we share our workdesks thanks to the Queen of Desks the lovely Julia (link over on the right).  This was my desk last night.  To be honest not a lot going on, the colour wheel at the back has fallen off its hook so I just need to put it back and the mouse, notebook, pens and yellow post it tags are work stuff that needs putting away (rather than the usual shoved to the back routine).

The brown square on the desk is actually a piece of board from the back of a picture clip frame that my mum was throwing out but I rescued the backing as I thought i may be able to paint on it and create a piece of art to abandon, though knowing me it will probably sit at the back of the desk for weeks before being put in a box not to see the light of day until a few months time!

My "Man Bites Dog" cards this week are 'Devoted lawyer missing brave star' - well with the Britney Spears story perhaps its related to that?!

Anyway, whats on your workdesk this wedesday?

  1. You know, even if the desk doesn't have "a lot going on" it is always nice just to drop by, check in, and see the MBD cards. Love your frugal and upcycling plans for the frame back so do share it it comes to fruition!

    Happy WOYWW

  2. I have loads of stuff 'that I might use one day'. Opened a bag yesterday and there were three large 10" x 10" really solid foam pieces. Still looked too useful to throw away but one day I will have to start getting rid of stuff. At the moment I should finish all planned projects around my 180th birthday. Love the MBD cards as always. Have a good week. Love n hugs Cindy xx #14

  3. I’ve just been given a bag of fabric and have saved a bit to use for a rainy day (cos it’s sparkly!) but I am getting very good at saying thank you but no thanks - in all sorts of ways, not just crafting! I always think of the Gnoll in Labyrinth and I throw even more out, lol!

  4. My husband is in throwing out mode - mainly my stuff of course! I have to go through all the books that we both have read, and have a clear out. Except how do I know if I want to re-read some day? I read books more than once! However I have decided to get rid of all those lovely books and buy them all over again 🤣. Happy WOYWW Angela #7

  5. I thought of Britney before I even read your post! great minds! I have no clue as to what you might end up doing with that bit of board, but I do know it would be better used or stashed for use than put in a bin!

  9. It’s always nice to have a peek around. I like your dog and the little woman perched on a drawer. Colour wheels are so useful, aren’t they?
I wonder if people in the uk ever have such close relationships with their lawyers. It seems to be more an American thing.
Take care; have a good week

  13. I have a box full of stuff that could be altered, one day, perhaps, maybe never. The 'man bites dog' words do seem appropriate this week. Sorry to be so late. Elizabeth x #24
