Another Wednesday and that means "What's on your workdesk Wednesday" where we bare our desks to fellow crafters across the globe.
On my desk this week are my birthday cards that I plan on upcycling into new cards which will hopefully get another chance to bring joy to someone else.
Also my 365 Journal as I try to get ahead and make March pages (though to be honest the journal has been sat there for a few days now with no movement whatsoever)!
My "Man Bites Dog" cards this week 'Judge Sues Thousands Again'.....sometimes just the addition of the word 'again' makes it sound so more sinister!!!
So, if you fancy joining us then please pop over to the lovely Julia's blog (link over on the right) and bare your desk, floor or room of shame/crafting/paperwork taking precedence over art etc!
Kyla
good luck with the upcycling! I love the poppy card (always love a poppy!) that judge sure gets about... Helen #??
ReplyDeleteAlways good to see a bit of upcycling. When I put Thank you cards in with my SU orders, I write my message on a Post It so the recipient can use the card again if they want to.

Morning Kyla. Enjoy using your birthday cards - and doing the journal for March.
ReplyDeleteTake care. God bless.

Great idea to upcycle cards. Always get a giggle from your random word cards.

I used to recycle my Christmas cards into gift tags for the local charity shop in Pewsey - it just didn't happen this year, too much going on but I love the idea of the birthday cards! The cards strike again, possibly in the US....

I like the look of those master boards below the cards. I keep meaning to make some myself and then forget, so yours might just get me started later today. Happy WOYWW Sarah #23
ReplyDeleteBusy desk this week! I like to recycle all the cards that come through my household, waste not want not! Great Man Bites Dog cards as ever! Have a great week - EmbroidRage #2 x
ReplyDeleteHi Kyla, I too spotted the masterboards, look very interesting. Must get around to doing some more. Have a great week, hugs, Shaz#5 xxx
ReplyDeleteThat does sound sinister - maybe he's suing the whole Republican Party! (I hope he wins!) Anyway, your desk looks nice and colourful and creative today! Thanks for sharing, Lindart #37
ReplyDeleteHi Kyla,
ReplyDeleteI hadn't thought about the word "again" but you are so right. There is a deep emotion when adding that word! I keep all my cards and I think about upcycling the store bought ones but sometimes they are just so pretty..... decisions!

Again suggests this has happened toooo many times so I can see what you mean about sinister. The cards look lovely I like the landscape one at the back very pretty.
ReplyDeleteGood idea to recycle the cards. I tend to hold onto mine lol. I will be one of those people with piles of cards. Sigh. Maybe I should recycle them so someone else can enjoy.

ReplyDeleteLook forward to seeing how you get on with the recycling. Have a great woyww, Angela x 18
ReplyDeleteGood to hear someone else who uses their received cards bits and pieces. Never throw anything away well craftwise. Reminds me I must pay a visit to our local charity shop and see what they have on offer.
