WOYWW

Hello peeps, and welcome to my desk which is once again outside (if only I could do this in the office too!!)

One my desk this week is some journaling I have been finishing off.
The figure (bottom right) was sprayed at the WOYWW crop (as a way of using up some left over spray) which I tore around and added to my page-finally a piece has been used from my scrap box!

My "Man Bites Dog" cards this week spell out 'Convict Falls For Swinging Suspect'....now that really does sound like a potential headline!

At the back of my desk is my decorated apron...all rolled up, which is why I now have white gesso splatters on my black work trousers (note to self, if I craft before or after work I and I DON'T get changed the least I can do is put the apron on that I went to the trouble of carrying all the way out to the garden)!!

So, be brave, some are messy, some are clean, but all are creative.....and join us over at What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday hosted by the lovely Julia and enjoy the legal snoop at desks across the globe.

Happy crafting

  1. Beautiful journal cover, maybe you should roll out the apron so I can get a better look. Thanks for sharing

  2. ah the old apron thing...I can imagine you just being in a hurry to slough off the working day and get paint and ink on your fingers, no time for fancy aprons! I'm enjoy crafty stuff outside, but am finding myself leaping up and down to fetch stuff I forget...a lot!!

  3. I have three aprons hanging behind the door - do I wear one - NO! Think we are all guilty of getting splashes on our clothes so don't worry - but black with white gesso - ouch!
Love the colours you have on your page.
Thanks for sharing - Hugs, Neet 14 xx

  4. Looks fab lovely, your page is super. I love the idea of an apron, but have never found one short enough, always trip over it! Ha ha. Not much crafting being down here, been sitting out reading when I can with my feet up. Swelling limb problems!! As well it's beautiful out there. Take care Zo xx 81

  5. Hahahaha - love the card saying :-) Shame about the trousers - I hope Gesso washes off !!!? I am always getting mucky, I tend to wipe my hands down my apron - so that's a bummer if I haven't got an apron on LoL !!!

  11. Hi Kyla, your journal cover is lovely - the mix of colours is gorgeous. Aprons - don't wear one either and I can just imagine you rushing home from work, full of crafting enthusiasm, no time to change and definitely no time to slip on an apron. The gesso ... it washes out, doesn't it? :) Hope you've had an enjoyable, though perhaps not another paint spattered, day and have a great week. Elizabeth x #47

  12. It's looking good, Kyla! Hope you get your trousers clean.... I'd have been tempted to wear the apron and nothing else in this heat, but guess outside that may not be an option!! Have a creative week. Helen 19

  14. Oooh, your outside crafting looks great. It never seems to work for me when I try to craft outside. I always get flies on my paint or things blowing away!

  15. LOL at the MBD headline. I do love the piece - that is a fab colour combo.
Drat. You've reminded me I needed some gum-remover stain buster stuff to sort out DSs trousers. Forgot when I went to the store. DOH!

    Happy (late) WOYWW!
