'Bee'n Busy
I do hope you have all 'bee'n having a fabulous weekend. Heavy rain was forecast so I bagsied the weekend for chores and crafting as I really haven't had much time of late. Who'd have thought it, it was quite a sunny weekend (with some showers but SO not as bad as they gave out).
I got lots done. I went outside and did some wet felting, made some skull, cherry and 2 tone bunting and even did a little woodworking....not sorted out the photos yet so you'll have to make do with this:
The latest page in my larger journal (rather than my travel one). The tag has a poem I made up written on the back....and no you are not seeing it (my mum laughed at it when I read it out.....they will be for me only in the future i think!!).
I stencilled through the honeycomb with black paint and added stickles and glossy accents to a few of the bees.
Hope you enjoy what is left of the weekend.

WOYWW
Happy hump day everyone. Sorry no photo of my desk this week....I haven't spent much time crafting (work.....boo....does it not understand that yes it pays my bills but it should allow me time to craft?).
It is elderflower season here in the UK so my photo is from last nights pickings for my elderflower cordial that I make each year.
I will keep this short, but if you'd like to nose around desks across the globe then pop over to Julia's WOYWW blog....go on....you know you want to!!!!

Mermaids
Hello everyone, I hope you are all having a fantastic weekend...not too wet here in the UK, a few heavy showers but no where as bad as they forecast.
As it has been rather wet in the UK I have had time to start downloading my photo's (sometimes I think going old skool and sending photo's off to be printed is SO much easier....I find it such a bind printing them off myself) which means I can finally blog some new work!
This is a page from my travel journal that I made when I was sat overlooking the sea last week on holiday. I don't own the Stampotique mermaid stamp so I cut the legs off one of the stamped images I carry round in my travel craft stash and drew a tail on some card, coloured it and added it to the top half of the girl. I think she turned out OK in the end.
I added some sequin waste and gold netting to reflect the sea bed when I got home as the glue stick I carry round is not strong enough to stick anything other than light netting and card. I tend to finish a page in one sitting, but as I have no hard or fast rules it doesn't matter (its meant to be fun after all...not a stressful thing!).
So, I hope you all enjoy what is left of the weekend and manage to get some crafting done.

WOYWW
Happy WOYWW everyone. I missed last week as I was in a field in a wet Devon....but I had my travel craft kit and journal so had plenty to keep me occupied.
So, this weeks WOYWW....well, I have not crafted much at home for a few weeks (gardening, work and a few days away) so some of the stash on my desk has been there for years....well, at least a month! BUT new this week is my oak block and piece of metal for some basic leather work I am doing. I can't show you what (it is basic believe me) as I am in a panic as its father's day Sunday and I have NOTHING for my dad. I don't want to get him booze (again) and he really doesn't need/want anything....so I am making something....but it is a panic make!
Anyhoo, this is my lovely ATC from Claire. Its called 'Disenchanted Queen' and Claire thought she had lost it back in 2006 then found it in a book!! Well, she now has a new home and has been added to my ATC collection.
This is the ATC I made to send out, the background is a collection of music score (my ever trusty) and the coloured papers are actually kitchen roll that I use to mop up my Dylusion sprays! The WOYWW is made out of a tomato puree tube with black acrylic paint over the top and wiped back. I added a colour stamp and quote-and off she went to her new home.
Julia asks us to keep these postings short as there are so many to get round, so I will leave it at that!

Bon Voyage
So I 'reused' a tag that came with a purse I recently bought (I DID not buy the purse because of the tag....though I did spot the tag first in the shop!!) some TH papers and a map of her new homeland, its sent with love and good wishes in her new life (and a big hint of a visit!!).
Going to keep this short and sweet,

Juliee Journal
Happy Sunday everyone (its raining again...deep joy!).
Now, I didn't really do the whole Jubliee flag waving thing, BUT, since I went to the great Vintage Fair in Exeter that was in aid of the Land Girls Charity I thought I would do a journal page.
This page is in my travel journal and was made in the main whilst having some lunch in Exeter (I never quite get used the the odd looks I get when I journal when out and about) and I used some music score and the leaflet from the fair as it had some great images on it.
My travel journal is a small derwent journal and I prep a few backgrounds at home (can you just imagine the looks I would get if I started spraying inks etc around whilst sat in pubs and cafe's....let alone when I do this on the train!) and I keep a bag stuffed with watercolour pencils, waterbrush, glue, paper scraps etc-this means that I can craft on the go!
It doesn't always produce the best results (sometimes I finish them off at home, especially if I need a stronger glue or some glitter) but it keeps me out of mischief!
Happy craftong and I hope you enjoy what is left of the weekend

I did a little shopping
Now, I don't normally advertise others on here, but at the recent Vintage Fair I came across 2 amazing fabric stalls.
This is the Ruvini De Alwis and she makes the most amazing fabric brooches from black lace and vintage fabrics. No website I am sorry to say, but her brooches were amazing.
Next was Jeanie Deans (www.jeaniedeansday.blogspot.com she also has a folksy and etsy site linked on her blog). Now this lady is VERY talented. As many of you know, I love making day of the dead items and the quirky but beautiful can't but help entice me. Well, I bought one of her zipped pouches with day of the dead skulls printed on it. Such a lovely colour combination (pale hessian and blue) and a perfect price point (I am very 'careful' with my hard earned spondoolers) which is why one of her goodies is used on a daily basis as my 'go anywhere' craft bag....stuffed with pens, glue, scissors etc all ready for my journaling.
If you get a chance to have a look around her shops I am sure you wont be disappointed.
I also received my ATC from Claire for the 3rd WOYWW anniversary ATC swop so hope to post that on the next WOYWW.
The sun is shining (yep, honestly you heard me right) so I am off to do some gardening.

June 366 Challenge
After a few days away in a wet and windy Devon I thought I should catch up with blogging. I am really behind with it all, missed WOYWW, haven't even unpacked let alone done the food shopping....but its 50-70 mph winds today and driving rain so hopefully I will get some catching up under my belt.
I find it difficult to believe that we are in month 5 of Kate Cranes 366 Challenge, deets are here.
This is my June entry. It doesnt look it in the photo (its dark and drab here so the shot isnt that great) but this is pinks, yellows and purples (Dylusions) for the background with vines and flowers (and yes, a little bit of stickles bling). Hopefully the sunny background will influence the weather......it can't rain for this long.....seriously????
Anyway, need to unpack.....dirty, damp clothes in a suitcase is NOT a good smell!!
