Happy hump day where we share our workdesks thanks to the Queen of Desks the lovely Julia (link over on the right).  This was my desk last night.  To be honest not a lot going on, the colour wheel at the back has fallen off its hook so I just need to put it back and the mouse, notebook, pens and yellow post it tags are work stuff that needs putting away (rather than the usual shoved to the back routine).

The brown square on the desk is actually a piece of board from the back of a picture clip frame that my mum was throwing out but I rescued the backing as I thought i may be able to paint on it and create a piece of art to abandon, though knowing me it will probably sit at the back of the desk for weeks before being put in a box not to see the light of day until a few months time!

My "Man Bites Dog" cards this week are 'Devoted lawyer missing brave star' - well with the Britney Spears story perhaps its related to that?!

Anyway, whats on your workdesk this wedesday?

Happy hump day, which means its another Whats on Your Workdesk Wednesday where we share our desks across the globe thanks to the Queen of Desks Julia (full details can be found here).

This photo was taken last night, I had a couple cheeky days off work and this enabled me to catch up on the allotment (weeded, compost added, garlic etc all planted and covered) and also finally catch up on my Inktober tags. Each year I use luggage tags as they hang nicely on a ring from the underneath of the shelf on my desk and take up so little room when hanging there.

It is only when I spread them all out that I realise just how much room they could take up each year!

I quite like Day9, the prompt "pressure" with Homer Simpson with the devil and angel on his shoulders!

I was quite pleased with Day 12, "Stuck" with the boy licking the freezing post!!

and from the final batch I like Say 28, "Crispy" and also Day 30, "Slither".  I do enjoy taking part each year and I know I should do more but finding the time (or prioritising the time if I am honest) is not easy but now the evenings are closing in I tend to find more time to craft as its often too dark after work to spend too long on the allotment.  Also, I know a lot of crafters are making the "C word" items and I really should crack on with that too!!

So, what's on your workdesk this Wednesday?

WOYWW

Hello peeps, only a quick update from me as the pay the bills job is busy and I have been busy in the evenings catching up on tasks that means sadly very little crafting (though I have done a few bits of inktober catching up but not quite there yet so will post when caught up).

On my desk this week (well last night) the desk was empty (well apart from the usual bits I keep on it) so I thought I would share what I currently have in my window sill (apart from houseplants and micro greens)-yep my winter squashes are hardening off nicely ready to be stored for use through out the winter months. Now I have to admit that I have not 1 but 3 window sills that are currently filled with winter squash (as they are most years in the autumn) so I have to take my hat off to my long suffering husband as he has to look at them and not knock them off!

The one on the right is a spaghetti squash, the blue large one at the back is, in my opinion, the best tasting squash there is, Crown Prince (I only managed to grow 2 of these this year on the allotment so they are very precious) the orange one is Uchiki Kuri (often known as red onion squash, I grew about 7 of these) and the striped one is Harlequin.  Now, none of my harlequin grew this year BUT I found a local farm who grew loads and flogged them from their gate for £1 each - so I bought 6 as I know that if they are ripened on a window sill for a couple weeks AND have the stalk attached then they should store happily on a shelf (and they look pretty) for several months and most years these see me through the winter months nicely.

My "Man Bites Dog" cards this week are 'Naked Intern Tricks Mayor'!! Well, as we in Bristol are one of the few cities in the UK to have a Mayor I don't think I should comment!!  ;-)

So, What's on Your Workdesk this Wednesday?
