Woyww

Happy hump day so that means sharing our desks for What's on your workdesk Wednesday. Been absent for a while as the pay the bills job has been hectic so this is only a quick update.

On my desk last night was some upcycled Christmas cards. Each year I try to make about 20 Christmas cards by the end of January. That way come November when panic sets in and I look in my Christmas paper/stamp box I find about 20 cards already made!! Panic over!! I have been doing this for a few years now and it seems to work for me so I plan on continuing.

Happy crafting and stay safe

  1. You are so clever! I am still at the "panic in November" stage of my cardmaking and suspect at this advanced age I am unlikely to change now. But there has to be hope, right?
You MBD cards seem appropriate for the current Covid...sadly.

Happy WOYWW - NOT at the hospital today but with a thumping headache yet determined to WOYWW nonetheless! Best day of my week…

  2. It’s a good idea so keep on doing it! I recycle my favourite Christmas cards as well, it’s fun and gives them a new life!

  3. your Christmas card plan is a good one... my pay the bills job has been full on too, sometimes I wish it wouldn't! but the amount of stuff I've bought recently, probably for the best. Take care and stay safe. Did enjoy your latest urban sketching too. Helen #1

  4. Lovely cards, and such a great idea! I was thinking of you the other day while I was rifling through my seeds deciding if I could justify any more! What a poignant Man Beats Dog too. Stay safe and keep smiling, Lisa-Jane #10

  6. Hi Kyla, well done with the Christmas cards. It’s something I think is a great idea, but don’t get around to till much later in the year. Have a great week Angela #15

  7. I have got Christmas pretty much organised in Jan/Feb the last two years so I can actually enjoy any new designs I fancy doing in November!! A little behind this year, but I'll have another week at it sometime in February. Still haven't got round to going through this year's cards! Your MBD cards could be quite appropriate at the moment I feel! Happy WOYWW, stay well, stay safe, Cindy xx #8

  8. I'm with Mary Anne, you are so clever! I'm trying to get a jump on things for next Christmas as well. I don't do cards, but I do make/craft my gifts. I ALWAYS do the whole November panicky thing, so this year it will be different in my house and I will be done hopefully before then! Hope the job catches a break for you soon! Stay safe and healthy, Felicia #28

  12. I keep most of my Christmas cards, mainly because I have no memory of neighbours names (well, most I do, but the odd one of three I completely can't remember so saving the cards helps with that! And I like to add cards from those who have past, oh and a few lovely cards from crafters! They always get put back on display somewhere. Have a great crafty week. Stay Safe. Happy Late WOYWW!?
