WOYWW

Hump day again so that means 'What's on your Workdesk Wednesday' where we all visit the lovely Julia's page (link over on the right) and bare our desks.

On my desk this week is actually some crafting! I know, shocking isn't it!!  To be honest the past few evenings has been spent trying to sort out some of my unused stash ready to take to the WOYWW crop next month to see if I can raise some money for charity.  So far I have stamps, some paints, scrap booking papers and a few punches.

On my desk this week is a card I am making for a friend who is getting married (three weeks notice!  How romantic is that-I love it, no pre wedding stresses) so I can't show the finished card until a couple of weeks!

My "Man Bites Dog" cards are ' Angel Weeps for Tycoon'-now I don't know if this is a
Dr Who reference or the fact that many of us are weeping at the reality that america may just be about to vote for a tycoon (I will be polite and not say what I think about him) to have control over the nuclear button!

Thank goodness for crafting and the escapism that it provides!

  2. Happy WOYWW. How lovely to be making a wedding card. I will not even mention the name of the person who I really hope the American public do not vote in next month - what a mess our world is. Wish I could get to the Crop (said that every year). Hubby is too busy to drive me - and I checked out the trains and it would be about 6 hours. Ali x #7

    1. Ali, you need to get friendly with a local crafter to you who drives, and get them involved!

  3. Please do not get me started on the American election. I am afraid! A country the size of America and they end up with these two!!!
Thank goodness we can immerse ourselves in crafting and forget for a moment or two what is happening in this world of ours at the moment.

  5. Blimey, those cards are close to the mark. Again! I sincerely hope and pray that the Trump buffoon fails miserably.
And I agree about the 3 week notice of a wedding, how marvellous...I'd do that if it was my turn all over again!

  6. Living in America has left me very disappointed with what is going on here in politics. It's amazing that out of all the good people of this country, these are the two we are left with. Honestly I don't want to give up my right to vote but I'm really tempted not to bother this year! I'm only going to vote for the lesser of the two evils! How's that for being diplomatic. Like everyone else, I'm just going to keep my head down and continue to craft!

  7. Hi Kyla, I'm desperately now keeping my fingers crossed for the crop. Thought at first it was going to be a definite, now I'm not so sure! I'm with you on that man- just how can they even consider him suitable? Scares the heck out of me. Have a great week, Hugs, Shaz xxx #1

  8. Hey Kyla!

Intriguing. I look forward to seeing what you've made, once you can reveal it...

I've got my fingers crossed that someone assassinates that man if he gets in. Not that I'm evil or cruel or anything, I just think that the world is in for horror if he's the President, and I'm sure that the FBI won't let it happen. Makes me sound like a conspiracy theorist, doesn't it!

  9. Yikes on those word cards :(

Your wedding card looks interesting - hope you'll show us when you finish. At least you've given yourself plenty of time to work on it.

    Happy WOYWW

  12. I love that, short notice for a wedding , very romantic...and the perfect reason to force a card out of anyone! And I don't wanna claim to be a predictor, but I told you those cards were heading for a presidential prediction!!

  15. Hi Kyla! What a pretty work spot. So clean and organized. I am sure your friend will love her card. I agree on the mess that the USA is facing. It can become unnerving if we let it. I just keep praying! Hugs, Rasz

  16. A charity crop sounds like a good time! Unlike the upcoming vote! We see a lot of his propaganda on TV. Enough said!
