WOYWW

Hello peeps, this week is again a little different as on my desk is a kitchen timer I am trying to make!  I assembled it from a kit from Maplins but a few of the LED's are not working so I borrowed a solder sucker (the syringe looking thing on the right) from one of the engineers at work (his face was a picture when I asked!).

I remembered my "Man Bites Dog" cards this week....'Rare 340lb Nude Angel Revealed', well that's put me off my lunch!

I managed to get all but 2 working, and it counts down and an alarm buzzes when it reaches its time!  Not my usual crafting but fun nonetheless.

Apologies that I have not been able to do all my revisits from last week....my net book is over 6 years old and is quickly grinding to a  halt and takes hours to do so I need to do some research into a new device (bah humbug).

So, why not join us for a legal snoop at desks across the globe.  Every Wednesday courtesy of Julia (link on the right) we bare our desks be them clean, dirty or on the floor (Hi Helen) :-)

Happy Crafting
Kyla

  1. That's enough to put anyone off their lunch, or indeed breakfast! Considering your 'handy' posts from the last two weeks, perhaps you could build your own computer? My son did with his friend and it wasn't as difficult as I thought it would be.

  2. Hi Kyla, it's Helen on the dirty floor here... I know that's not what you really meant but it's true... don't look too closely! Bit of a "eek" MBD this week, but it's always nice to see them! Good luck sorting a new computer (I am going to have to do that soon too... not a clue!) Helen 6

  5. Oh, how I want to make a tongue twister out of 'solder sucker'........I'm not a solder sucker, I'm a solder sucker's son, etc etc!!
Really weird MBD this week...hope the angel doesn't fall out if the sky....

  6. That's a great MBD today! How do you choose? Do you shuffle them first?
Building a kitchen timer? How clever is that! I wish I could do that. I'd never heard of solder sucker, let alone used it!
    Thanks for sharing,
    Have a great week,

    1. I shuffle the cards then draw a random few to see if they make sense! Sometimes I draw 5 but only use 4 if its funny :-)

  7. I love the MBDs....I figure that a 340lb angel would indeed be quite rare!! If I had a choice, I'd now switch from iPad to a windows compatible tablet...the amount I want to do on google and the amount IPad won't let me is shocking! And snigger of the week....solder sucker. What a child!

  8. Ooh sparkly lights, that had my attention. What a cool timer. I have a very nasty vision of that angel that I just can't get our of my head, eww. I have a 23" Pavillion computer on my desk and it's fabulous, I can even see what's on the screen, highly recommend this one as I can't get my heads around the touchy feely tablets.
    Have a great week,

  10. Hi Kyla, sorry about your computer. My laptop died this summer and I found myself without the funds to replace... YIKES!!! I don't know if this option is available across the pond where you are but Hewlett Packard has a payment plan with no interest if you pay in the specified amount of time. I bought a higher end laptop than I have had before, more get up and go (a.k.a. ram) so I got a 12 month no interest plan. I hate being in debt but a girl just can't be without her computer... I mean seriously! :D I like your little timer you put together from a kit... I am impressed :D Umm, 350 pound nude angel... not so much! :D
I'm late as you can see making my WOYWW rounds but I do tend to be on the tortoise side of life!
    Hugs,
