Happy What's on your workdesk Wednesday. This was my desk last night and to be honest it still much looks the same today!
still playing catch up with Inktober, almost there, this is day 19 just finished and I hope to catch up today! As to my Man Bites Dog cards 'crazy lover falls for nurse!' Well, why not? lol.
I mentioned last week that the past few years I have completed inktober on tags which I put on a ring and hand from the shelf at the top of my desk. this is what it looks like, I must admit I quite like to flick through them for inspiration and sometimes just to help my mojo. hope your all having a good week kyla

Happy What's on your workdesk Wednesday. This week I am playing catchup with Inktober. I have been taking part for many years and for the past 10 yrs or so I have used tags to sketch on and they are all hanging from rings at the top of my desk. as usual I am a bit behind so putting some time in to catch up and do very quick sketches rather than fussing and worrying.
as to my 'man bites dog ' cards this week, not a great headline but they are randomly drawn cards!! happy crafting kyla

Morning, I have stuff on my desk!after a few days away and limited phone signal I wasn't able to post last week. But i sorting some goodies out on my desk. Now, i didn't make these cards but I bought them on one of the art trails I have been doing. The lady was making them and selling them to raise money for a street homeless local charity, i thought they were lovely so bought a few.
I have been making stuff but mainly in the kitchen. this week it's dehydrated apples as its been a bumper harvest.
there have been so many apples on my walks I thought this would be a good way to store them. I have a few apples wrapped in a box but these should last a lot longer. So, what's on your workdesk? kyla

Happy What's on your workdesk Wednesday. Missed last week as pay the bills job was a tad full on so not much time for anything else. BUT i was determined to do something crafty this week and started my October 365 journal page.
got the background done and after work I plan on punching the squares for the days and decorating the page a bit. on the allotment the recent storms snapped my runner bean wigwams, beans and structure but a few are still in the ground so I have propped them up on a spare compost bin to see if i can get a final harvest in a week. preserving sessions are booked in and I have been foraging a lot of apples so thinking of dehydrating a load of them for the winter. As to this weeks 'man bites dog' cards, well I think the nurse needs to consider themselves lucky, the star sounds like hard work!! kyla

Happy What's on your workdesk Wednesday. We have a lot of storms and rain here this week so a lot of spare time has been inside! this has given me a rare opportunity to sort stuff!! Not craft stash but clothes. sorted a few bags for charity and them tackled my bras!
a mate collected for many years for the charity Smalls for All Such a great charity that passes on underwear (new pants and socks) and new or lightly worn bras. Well, tbh I have several that just aren't comfy any more and even have the labels on still so all packed up and posted!! Finally some space in the drawer!! kyla

Happy What's on your workdesk Wednesday. A quick apology as wasn't able to revisit many desks last week as didnt have much of a signal as was down in a folk festival watching amazing music and dancers all through the town and local parks! However, my on my desk is the reason there is a bit of a stink in the air at home!! I am cleaning my plant labels from the allotment and a few yrs ago found out the easiest way is acetone! Now, as we know us crafter can find various jobs for random stash and when i ran out of acetone a few years ago a fellow crafter mention some cheap false gel nail removers are acetone based!! result, cheap and 3rd year of use of these labels (sadly sometimes they snap). i also have some wooden ones I made last year and have some ideas for others I may be able to make over the winter.
as to my 'man bites dog ' cards this week....they are randomly drawn but wow, not a great headline!! On a more positive note, managed to pop into town for a couple hrs this week and did some more gromit spotting!!
love that these bring families visiting Bristol and raises money for the children's hospital, they area sheer delight. stay cool, as uk is in its 4th heatwave this year already! kyla

happy What's on your workdesk Wednesday. There is nothing on my desk at the moment BUT i thought I would share what I did yesterday late afternoon!
our sketching group Bristol urban sketchers are 10 years old this year and Cass Art in bristol is holding an exhibition of our art in their store and last night was the opening. it was lovely, seeing pictures of our art over the past decade, over a glass of wine/elderflowerspritz and catching up with other members, a lovely couple of hrs kyla
