Woyww

happy What's on your workdesk Wednesday. i missed last week as was busy but this week i am crafting!! well, sewing!!
my handbag needed mending, the magnetic clasp had worn through the fabric. so, thought I would have a go at mending it, no idea what I am doing but got to be worth a try as doesn't cost anything but time.
I thought to use some old faded jeans I cut up as the colour complements the green and stitched it round and added some z stitching to help edge it. no idea if it will work but only took an hr of my time and was a nice distraction! kyla

  1. Been watching visible mending videos and I love this lady. https://socorrosociety.com/collections/sashiko-inspired-mending and the wash-away iron on patterns are very cool. Maybe a washable marker and you could draw your own? It's super decorative and fun. Love the bag - and yep, no harm in experimenting, nothing lost if it doesn't work and it was probably still fun to do!
    Happy WOYWW!

  2. A nice bit of mending there! It’s a win win, you still have your bag and had the joy of the process too. I’ll have a look at Mary Anne’s recommendation, always good to have new ideas!

  3. Looks as if it's a good mend. I likes the shot of the fabric pinned on...thought it was a row of coloured buttons waiting to be added at first!

  5. Sometimes there are simply other things that stop us doing the things we like, it happens to us all. I can understand you wanting to mend your bag, I'm just the same I hate it when something I love breaks down and just have to try and fix it. Wishing you a very happy woyww. Hugs Angela x9x
