Woyww
Happy What's on your workdesk Wednesday. This was last nights desk and will continue tonight after work. I picked and dried the lavender from my front garden so am now bagging it up. i used to make lavender pillows/hangers for family christmas pressies but the past few years most would prefer a bought gift so I will be making some just for our wardrobes etc.
forgot my man bites dog cards this week but to be honest I think there has been enough 'headline' news recently!
happy Wednesday all

Sorry the family preferred commercial gifts instead of hand made ones. I sometimes think people do not realise just how much of YOU goes into making a card or a gift. At least now you can enjoy your lavender makes and keep your wardrobe free from moths.

Shame the homemade gifts weren't appreciated but i hope your lavendar bags are useful Happy WOYWW Helen #3
ReplyDeleteI do have some members of my family that like the things I make but it's a brave person that gives or sells their makes. I have heard of so many people being upset because they don't sell or people pull their nose up at something they've made. If someone says they like the things I make I am just happy to give it to them. I was so surprised and quite overwhelmed when we visited one of our friend who had kept every birthday card I had ever made for her, now that's a compliment I can cope with. Happy woyww with hugs Angela x9x
ReplyDeleteI love the fragrance of lavender! Not so much sewing the bags though. It is an awful shame that homemade gifts are spurned. Such is the age we live in! Happy WOYWW. Angela #11
ReplyDeleteI always made lavender bags and similar as extras to my Christmas presents... Mum and Dad had some great lavender bushes in their garden. I have one here in Australia but its not the same!

Oh yummy lavender, hubby's favourite. Hugs BJ#5
ReplyDeleteLove lavender. I have made bags in the past and, as well as filling drawers and wardrobes with them, I gave them away to family and friends. It's just such a lovely way of using up scraps of fabric to make the bags. Have a great weekend. Elizabeth x #12
ReplyDeleteLavender is wonderful Kyla. Eva gave me some to hang in the shed and the smell is amazing. I am celebrating my first official day of retirement by visiting desks, as the weekend and last week were rather manic. Stay safe and Happy belated WOYWW. Sarah
