Woyww

Happy What's on your workdesk Wednesday. A glorious sunny weekend (well, for the most part) was a lovely change so lots of allotment time and also a Bristol Urban Sketchers session, not in the rain!!

This hopefully explains this weeks desk, my travel sketch kit at the back and i am cleaning/reusing plant markers. I find that acetone cleans most of the writing off so i can reuse them a few times. Also a random aloe leaf on the desk! I do have about 20 of these plants around the house so i often find the leaves around!!

Also some sewing...ish! I have repatched these allotment jeans several times.....

But.....even i have to admit its probably time to get rid of them.....no matter how many times i patch them...at some point i have to consider how much i could be flashing my fellow plotters!!
Oops!

Needless to say, i am saving some of the fabric as its always useful for patches!!

Thought i would share my urban sketching from the weekend too. We were sketching in a sunny Clifton so there was lots to sketch. About 20 of us in total and a lovely few hrs spent with some so talenteds people.

So, what's on your workdesk?

Kyla

  2. At some point I got this little loom tool for making decorative mending stitches but have not had a go yet. I have leads of jeans saved for mending, but seems like none of us really wear jeans anymore! May have to make a floor cushion for the cat... :D

  3. I have loads of jeans like that. Chop em up and use the scraps for bags, purses and coasters - well that's what this sewing gal does!! Can you email me on twiglet517 at hotmail.co.uk? Thanks x Jo

  4. I love the idea of lots of people all sketching together like that and I love all the little scenes you've created there. I've taken to wearing dungarees for my gardening etc as I'm always hitching my jeans up by the belt loops and that's a lot trickier to patch! Happy anniversary, Lisa-Jane #18 www.prettymypage.co.uk

  6. Hi Kyla, There are those Lol who would pay good money for jeans like that. I think you could have used the legs and made them into shorts. Happy woyww 15th Anniversary with hugs Angela x17x

  7. I have seen some extremely large holes in fashionable jeans so they would think you were right on trend🤣🤣. Happy 15th anniversary. Angela #19

  8. Your sketching looks amazing. You always seem to get holes in those awkward places when gardening - apart from the knees! Happy 15th WOYWW Anniversary - Michelle #21
