WOYWW

Hump day so that means sharing our desks with the queen of desks the lovely Julia (nearly at the 600th one!!!)

My desk this week- well, wet and a day off so seemed like a good idea to plan the crop rotation for the allotment. It starts in the early winter for me as i plant garlic and onions before christmas so need to ensure they are rotated. Not sure how far i will get before i loose the will, but its a start!

No Man Bites Dog cards again this week, i can't trust them with everything that is going on at the moment!! Too likely to get an actual bizarre headline!

So, what's on your workdesk this wednesday?

Happy crafting

  2. You've just reminded me I need to dig up the strawberry patch but guess it will be okay to do it in the spring. It's just gone mad with weeds so I will have to have a clear out and try and sort it. Sending woyww hugs, Angela x14x

  3. So are you letting some of the ground lie fallow in your rotation, I remember growing green manure crops to dig in when we had our allotment. I might shove some garlic cloves into our raised beds and see how they do!

  7. I have great admiration for you with your allotment, my grandad was wonderful (and self sufficient) at growing fruit and vegetables, but it didn't come down to me in the genes!
    Take care,

  9. Planning your crop rotation!? Have mercy. I can barely get an already fruiting tomato plant to produce. Yu amaze me - and yeah, the headlines nowadays do feel crazy close to the ones from the MBD cards. Heaven help us all!

    Happy WOYWW a little late!

  12. Ah, good for you, nothing like a plan to get things underway. In your position I’d need it just so that I could remember what was planted where. I have a gardening journal which I log the position of everything in, along with its care requirements. I thought originally it would just help me remember the names of these things, but it hasn’t! Think you’re wise with the MBD..it all a bit really unreal!

  13. We always used to have an allotment plan. Here we only have a small plot so it is pretty easy - and because we don't know what was in it before we just have to go with the flow... Had brilliant crops of peas and broad beens though - and now the tomatoes are coming on. Quite different timing now that we are in Australia!
    Sorry I am late again...
    Happy WOYWW!
