WOYWW

Hello peeps, hump day again so that means its time for another legal snoop at desks across the globe.
First off, a quick apology.  I like to get round to, at the minimum, the desks of those that visit me and if I can a few more.  However, things have been a bit hectic here (mums birthday celebrations, decorating, work...you get the picture!) in the name of balance, something had to give and  blogging was it!

Right, onwards and upwards. On my desk this week is my 365 challenge journal.  This time I am finishing off my February pages.  This week at Coven a couple of the members wanted to have a go at it too, so I did a wee teaching session on producing backgrounds and I wanted to finish my page off whilst I still had all the bits and bobs unpacked.

My "Man Bites Dog" cards this week are quite simply "Mayor Shoots Judge"...ooeer missus!  In Bristol we were the only other city (apart from London) who voted to have a Mayor...I will be keeping a close eye on him this week!!

If you fancy joining in then pop over to the lovely Julia's blog (link over on the right).
Fingers crossed my "balance" is better this week (diary is already chocker so I think I need to look in this balance malarky!!).
Happy Crafting
Kyla

  2. Your February page looks great especially love the hearts down the side. Hope you have a wonderful crafting week. I understand how life gets in the way at times, I try and burn the candle at both ends sometimes to fit it all in.

  7. My balance has not been working too well in recent weeks, in fact, months, so I know what you mean. I did resolve to blog more frequently, every day if possible, and to do more actual crafting too. That shooting thingie is a little worrying. I wonder if it applies to just elected mayors ...... Hope you have a good week of crafting. xx Maggie #24

  10. Cor, bet your coven members absolutely loved having you show and teach...bet they were all fired up and arty. Love the pages, they look shiny like wrapping paper from here. Get the Mayor a bullet proof vest, I think!

  12. Such lush colours! Funny I just saw a lovely Gelli print in shade of brown and I loved it, but I love the vibrancy of this page too. I am just so fickle....

    Happy WOYWW evening!

  15. Well that background is proper vivid (as my new hero Guy Martin would say!) no wonder the coven wanted to be initiated :-). I really do admire you gals who take on a year long project...I know I'd fail after the first week!!!
I was inspired by your gorgeous jelly roll quilt last week, that's why I got mine out to have a look see. Did you need two jelly rolls to complete a double quilt? Ah well, some idea will no doubt surface from the depths, lol!!

  16. Mouthwateringly gorgeous colours! Thanks for your visit and comment. Banana boxes are the very best boxes for moving house. They are free, they are strong, they have lids, they have handles to lift them, they stack, you can write on them what's inside and which room they are to end up in, they are not so large that you can fill them to make them too heavy to lift, and they even have paw-sized holes and a larger hole in the lid for access which makes them the ideal cat plaything - ideal with 2 or more kitties! For storage they can be a bit big and I've got rid of most of the ones we moved with. In my ARTHaven I am using mostly Really Useful Boxes and need to get some more of these.

I know what you mean about not having enough time to visit many people. I always visit those who visit me, and try and visit a few more too, but it's rare that I visit everybody! We have to do what we can, don't we.

    Happy belated WOYWW,

  17. I was thrilled, thrilled, thrilled to see your February pages. My calendar is the PITS this year, and I have to use it for TWO years. Already I hate it, because any and all ink bleeds through to the next page. Yours is fantastic and I can't wait to see it again at Kate's.

Thanks for visiting me already because I'm so late my number has changed from 16 to 13.

  18. I'm loving your February calendar. Mayor shoots Judge is so bland... we need more juicy details! Hee hee. Thanks for the visit earlier this week. I'll try to make a big mess for next week.
