WOYWW

Happy What's on your workdesk Wednesday. Only a quick update from me as the desk is a mess! No idea what possessed me BUT I thought it would be a good idea to sort through my paints and maybe use up the odds and ends doing some background paper designs (no idea of techniques just my usual 'winging it'!)  Some of the paints are VERY old so they do need sorting! No idea when I will get round to actually making the backgrounds, but if i have the odds and ends put to one side then at some point they will drive me round the bend and force me to use them!

My 'man bites dog' cards this week are 'Angry Lover Tricks Judge'! Ooh, bit more interesting than most of the news in the past week!
So, what's on your workdesk?

  2. LOL! Yeah me too. I have a load of paint that pre-dates Darling Daughter (birthday yesterday, she is 26!!) but still seem to work. Well some of them. Loving the MBD this week, and quite excited for the arrival of my Dear Son - he is a game player and LOVES board games so I think we might actually PLAY MBD. That will be fun, I'm sure. My desk was a mess then I snapped my fingers and... (ha ha)
    Happy WOYWW Day!

  3. Looking forward to seeing your background pages. Paint lasts for ages so I hope they’re all reusable.

  5. Hi just stopping by to say hello. I have some old paints too and it seems my VERY expensive Golden ones (I only have a few tubes) have dried out! My student grade and craft paints are okay though - so there's a lesson there LOL! Enjoy your week! xx zsuzsa #18

  6. I have loads of paints that are probably (I really hope not!) dried up and should go through them to check.. but it's a big task! you've made the first step though, piling them together! Helen #1

  7. I’m totally up with your thinking there, leave them lying around till they get on your nerves…and then, like magic, it takes a fraction of the time you assume it will! MBD is far more interesting, UK news this week has driven me nuts.

  8. Oh my! you are going to have so much fun making background papers. I love just getting a sponge and dabbing the ink on. If you have some vaseline and a stencil you could create some resist patterns, paint over it and rub it back. I could go on but don't want to bore you. Wishing you a very happy and creative woyww, Angela x13x

  9. Some paints seem to last quite well, others not so much. Perhaps I shouldn’t be surprised when my 20 year old paints were dry🤣. Great idea to use them up and have some fun. Happy WOYWW. Angela #5

  10. Hi Kyla. Oh, I am SO glad I'm not the only one who does things like that!! Thank you. I hope you manage to make your backgrounds before too long, and get all the useable paints sorted.
    Take care. God bless.
