Happy What's on your workdesk Wednesday. This is my desk, not from today but a few days ago. mainly as my desk is currently empty and I actually made a card the other day so thought I would do a cheeky and post that instead!
the card is for my cousins wedding. His partner is an amazing pyrographer and super talented so I just had to make them a card rather than buy one!
not much crafting at the moment as busy on the allotment but will hopefully get some crafting done soon kyla

Happy woyww. Well, this week has allotment stuff on the craft desk!
well, I am cleaning down my plant labels! I have some wooden ones but my older plastic ones get reused until they break. I find acetone (used to use it in crafting years ago to clean pen marks etc) works best, and cheap nail varnish remover does the job fine! forgot my 'Man Bites Dog' cards this week but think there has been enough news around! Hope you all have a crafty week kyla

happy What's on your workdesk Wednesday. On my desk this week is actual crafting!
I was making a card so remembered other crafters on here used masterboard pieces and stencils with paints. so I grabbed a piece of card I had already painted and decorated and then used acrylic paint and a stencil to cover the card. then I added some more tim holtz word stickers. happy that it used up background pieces I created ages ago and I need to keep this up as I have a few backgrounds knocking about! My Man Bites Dog cards this week are 'lawyer saves lost girl'- happy with that as not as miserable as most weeks headlines! kyla

morning fellow woywwers!! I still can't believe last week was the 16th anniversary of us all coming together once a week and sharing our desks! No crafting on my desk this week BUT I did receive the lovely PIF card from Lunch lady Jan, thank you, its lovely and will get blue tacked to my craft room wall.
to be honest, this time of year my allotment is where i spend most of my spare time.
this is the bottom of one of my plots, sweetpeas, broadbeans, radish, winter lettuce and now runner beans are all in. last year i created a small pond and the iris i planted has flowered, happy days. I still have my ATC to post to twiglet, just need your details and I will pop it in the post kyla

Woyww 16 years

wow, i can't believe that its been 16 years! julia and jan (and now Sarah) started something amazing. over the years I have met up, crafted, shared supplies and ate a lot of cake with some fabulous crafter across the globe. made some good friends and learnt many new technique. thank you, I love it and it's been a bit of a godsend at times giving me purpose and inspiration. this is my current desk
on my desk I have made my ATC. it's not too intricate but the words from my tim holt stickers (gifted from a friend whose crafty mum sadly passed away) sums up how I feel about the group, "friends, inspire, photograph, memories, journal, create, together and show"
I was so pleased when Sarah took over enabling us to continue, thank you. my ATC is a physical in case we are sending it on to someone (can never remember if its the person before or after!). Either way there is one! happy woyww kyla

Happy What's on your workdesk Wednesday. This is my 'desk' most of the past week! Dry and the start of the sowing season so that means every spare moment is down the allotments!
this is my top plot (which i have had a few years now), under those covers are my purple sprouting broccoli and over wintering salads, mainly land cress and a few red lettuces. In the front of the photo are my broad beans and at the back onions, garlic, radishes, a few leeks and then my fruit beds (strawberries and currents mainly and 2 large rhubarb).
this is my 2nd plot, this is only my 3rd year on this plot so lots more work to be done but pretty much the same crops as my top plot but a lot more currants on this one and not as much rhubarb as the top plot. so, not a workdesk, but when not at work this is where I am spending a lot of my time at the moment! happy What's on your workdesk Wednesday kyla

happy What's on your workdesk Wednesday. once again sorry as didn't make all my return visits, no excuse just ran out of time and shattered at the moment. no crafting BUT as is often the way this time of year most clear spaces and window sills looks like this!!!
and this is only the start of the growing season!! I have bought a 3 layer shoe rack for the back door as I saw a great hack on a gardening page where they used it to put several seed trays near the light (luckily my back door has a glass panel so good light) so hoping to be able to expand my space and use this too! forgot my man bites dog cards this week! either way hope your all having a good week kyla

happy What's on your workdesk Wednesday and if you celebrate it hope a happy Easter too. Mixed bag weather wise so managed a little crafting
I took advantage and caught up with my journal and got my May pages ready for the 365 journal. I forgot how 'inky'the Dylusions sprays can be and I 'may' have ended up spreading the orange ink over my hands, desk, trousers and then forgot and touched the door!! oops, luckily cleans off easily!! As to the Man Bites Dog cards this week....oooh the czar is down! Also wandered down to our local steam railway and watched some of the engines over the weekend and spotted some lovely postbox toppers too, love that people knit and crotchet these, they bring delight to shoppers. so, on your workdesk? kyla

Happy What's on your workdesk Wednesday update where we share our desks across the globe. I didn't quite make all my visits to all last week, so if i missed yours so sorry just hectic at the moment with the pay the bills job etc. however I did crafting, well mending! At the weekend it was Bristol urban sketchers 10th anniversary celebrations aboard the ship The Balmoral (a 1949 pleasure steamer in our harbour). we did a bring and share lunch and there were printed displays of our sketches across the past decade, fantastic few hrs. The free cold bag I took sadly broke, the zip fell off the end. But one of our super talented members, Jane, also a brilliant fabric artist and makes her own clothes gave me some top tips on how to fix it....
and thanks to Jane i fixed it!! Chuffed as it was simple and didn't take too long, just a case of knowing what to do! Free chiller bag is back in action again! happy woyww kyla

happy What's on your workdesk Wednesday. After a rather hectic week I managed to get some crafting done! not a lot but managed to catch up with my April bullet journal and sort out the page for April's 365 journal, yes it's a week into the month but it's caught up so thats all good. As I was making the page I realised I had run out of Tim holtz washie tape! i know, i couldn't believe it as I have had his tape since it came out!! this means I 'may' need to go craft stash shopping!!.
as to my 'man bites dog' cards....with all this AI I can understand fake movies!! happy Wednesday all kyla
