Woyww

Happy What's on your workdesk Wednesday. Hope everyone is ok? Certainly down in the south west the weather has been 'different'! A heat wave and a red warning as temperatures creep up to 35 degrees, but with the high humidity makes it feel even warmer. Then Monday evening was the biggest storm I can remember, an hr with fork lightening and flooding, so much so, about 4 miles away, sadly a house roof was hit by lightening and it burnt down and then in Bath lightening hit the road and caused massive holes which require 40 meters of retarring now!!
needless to say, in this heat there hasnt been a lot happening. My conditions means my body flares when it's damp or humid so not great, but could be worse. Decided to make a start on julys journal page...july???? Seriously how did that happen??! Anyway, stay safe and happy crafting kyla

  1. Goodness, I’ve heard of houses getting hit by lightning but not a road like that, thank goodness there was no one walking by at the time! The weather is freaky and I don’t like it, roll on the weekend when the temps drop by about ten degrees here. Take care especially if the heat is causing you flare-ups xx

  2. Dashing around quick before the heat builds...
Yikes. DS lives in Bath - must ask him if it was near them. Hard to think about crafting, esp. in an upstairs room!
Happy far, FAR too hot WOYWW

  4. The storm was ferocious here in Kent, too, and a house burnt down but I’ve never heard of lightning striking a road!
    Enjoy your journaling.

  6. Hello Kyla, I'd heard from my sister living in London about the storm, and how awful it was, but she didn't mention those lightening strikes. It sounds horrendous. Take it easy and stay cool while you work on your journal. And, yes, how have we got so near to July already! Happy WOYWW. Elizabeth #10

  7. I think it goes without saying that I am really struggling with this heat. Even with the air-con 24/7 in my craft/bedroom the temp has climbed up to 24 degrees today and at that temperature I stop functioning at the best of times. The rest of the house is way hotter so I'm only leaving my room for food/drink and very quick bathroom breaks today. Roll on Sunday and hopefully a break in the weather. Yes I saw a bit of the lightening Monday night but I guess the rain has left it rather too humid now. Hugs Bj#10
