Woyww

Hello just a quick update and no desk as its covered in work, but aware my recipient has now received the anniversary atc etc so thought i could do a quick show.

These were the ATCs i made with a thick paint through a stencil to create a background.

Also the local postcard option, i couldn't find one so on one of my walks at a weekend i walked to Kingswood Museum and the 18th century 30 foot high statue of Neptune known locally as the Warmley Giant (as its in Warmley nr Bristol) and i sat there sketching and painting it.

Its a great walk and some amazing places to explore.

Only a quick update and no MBD cards this week as totally buried under work so can't share, but i didnt want to miss out on this weeks hence this quickie

Happy woyww

  1. Those are impressive ATCs. I like all three. I was in awe that you actually sketched that Neptune sculpture in lieu of a postcard. What a much more thoughtful gift in my opinion. Happy WOYWW from # 12.

  2. Great texture using the paint through the stencil, a fine looking trio. Nice watercolour too, it's a totally different feel to get outdoors and paint. Happy WoywW Tracey #1

  5. Lovely ATCs and the technique is a good one. I can never seem to lay my hands on my texture paste when I need it. That museum looks worth a visit and i look forward to seeing the sketch at some point. He looks quite imposing! I did have my MBDs this week and kinda a question for you - what do you do if yo first pull of 4 cards makes little (if any) sense??

    Happy WOYWW!

  6. Fab atcs and a great idea to send a sketch - wish I had the talent to do so. Have a good week and hope work lets up soon (we've been flat out too with the stamp duty holiday, thank goodness that's done!!) Take care. Helen #11

  8. Warmly Giant…love a local name. But why is Neptune in Warmley anyway? Don’t get buried under all that work on your desk, be very rigid about breaks and moving away from it, working from home can overwhelm your sense of home.

  9. Happy Belated WOYWW. I love using texture paste too. Sketching outdoors is always fun, as long as the weather is good! I went to a sketching workshop at a local National Trust woodland and gardens a few years ago. Happy memories of sitting in the sun. I need to do a scrapbooking page for it. Ali x #15
