Happy What's on your workdesk Wednesday. Well i have no crafting on my desk but last night i decided to clear out a couple of old books and some old inks and paints (i will be honest some of them were totally dried out!!) to make space for these beauties.
I have been doing Kolbie Blume's free online watercolour course and have been so impressed hubby bought me all three of her books for my birthday last week. To make sure i use them i was determined to keep them in my craft room as i would be more likely to notice them and have a go, hence the sorting out last night.
I just need to put some time aside to finish the course and play.
So, what's on your workdesk?
Kyla

ReplyDeleteI'm trying to work through some old paints and either use them or lose them. Enjoy the new ones and the books too. Wishing you a very happy woyww, Angela x11x
ReplyDeleteHow fab that you’ve found a course you enjoy so much, great prezzy from your hubby! There’s no point keeping dried out paints etc, some are past rescuing - hope you manage to fit in some happy painting time this week.

It is wonderful to find a course or a teacher that you really feel you canlearn from. What a great gift too. Enjoy and share - I am no watercolour artist but I do like them. I'll be watching with interest.

Omg I even like the font on the frown of her books! am sure you'll really enjoy and get a lot out of these as you're so good at applying yourself. Great birthday present, useful, beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt’s lovely to find a tutor you like and then to get her books for birthday pressies. I hope you get a lot of fun out of them.

I have been doing the same, I don’t know how things dry out when they are sealed, but they do. The books look great, a lovely present. I must admit I am more inclined to use stuff I can see! Happy WOYWW Angela #14
ReplyDeleteThese books look great. I've looked her up as I'm playing with my water colours but it might be well beyond me! Lisa-Jane #9 https://www.prettymypage.co.uk/woyww-768/
ReplyDeleteThanks for the paint idea...I have been delaying that but I'm doing it today. Just too much stuff around me. Happy Belated Birthday...enjoy the books.
ReplyDeleteWOW! Such a sweet gift! I just threw away another batch of dried out paints! I too wonder how a sealed product that has never been opened manages to dry out!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!

Belated Birthday Blessings, Kyla!
ReplyDeleteA lot of folks seem to be getting into watercolors. I have enough projects without starting something new. Keeping those books from thoughtful hubby where you can see them is a good plan!
Creative Blessings! ~ Kelly #18
